The Shimmering Extraordinary

Annie Edwards is a disabled dance artist originally from Brighton, now living and working in London.

With a background in hip hop and contemporary dance, she has been performing and creating for several years, blending her passion for movement and music with a deep commitment to social justice.

This film is one of six short dance pieces directed by Emmy Award-nominated filmmaker Fx Goby. Commissioned for the Scottish Ballet’s ‘Safe to Be Me’ Festival - a digital dance celebration of diversity - these films explore powerful themes of acceptance, identity, and respect.
